Being completely terrified by the prospect of having either Hillary Clinton or Sarah Palin become president in 2012 I’ve come up with something that can change everything: the “abstain” or “no change” vote and the “removal” vote. So far we’ve been forced as a culture to pick between new candidates and the previous. What if we didn’t like any of the options on the ballet? How many people don’t vote because they don’t think any of the politicians are qualified? Why should their vote be ignored?
If the “abstain” vote wins majority then the current president stays for another term. If passed the 2nd term and the abstain vote wins then it is almost the same as the “remove” vote.
The “remove” vote is essentially what it sounds like. It is to be treated as if the president and his cabinet are brought up on charges, fall into a time warp (just a jump to the left) or whatever and the people will have to deal with a more stagnant government. Should a state of emergency come up (attack, disaster) then the head of the Senate/House will act as joint leaders with temporary powers.
What do you think?
